Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser Mask Review

There were many benefits I found while using Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser Mask. These Include:

1. Cleanser/Mask- This product is really a 2 for 1, because you are not only getting a cleanser but it is also made to be used as a mask. This was one of the reasons I purchased the product in the first place as I was looking for a cleanser and mask but dint have much money to spend, so the 2 in 1 was a major advantage with this product as I could get both for the price of 1.
2. Controlled Oil Production- A major problem I had and had for some time was my skin was to oily, this product's main ingredient is Benzoyl Peroxide (BP), this is know to have qualities that help slow down oil production and it definitely worked for me, leaving my skin with a nice texture and for the first time in a long time oil free, at least for the first few months anyway.
3. Removed Blackheads- This was what I found the mask to be very effective with. I had a lot of blackheads on and around my nose area and tried many different treatments to get rid of them with none being effective. After using this as a mask for only the second time i noticed a massive reduction in how many blackheads I had and this continued until nearly all of my blackheads had gone, the only ones left were the ones that were barely visible and I'm sure after longer use of the mask they will also disappear.
4. Prevented Breakouts/Reduced Pimples- My pimples were not as much of a problem as my blackheads with only a few around the chin area and cheeks but after using the cleanser twice a day for 2 weeks it did reduce the amount and size of them by around 50%. But what really impressed me was the fact that I would normally break out 2-3 times a week and after using this I would only have a breakout maybe every month or when I would binge on take away and greasy foods.

There are a few bad points I found while using neutrogena clear pore cleanser mask. These include:

1. Skin Dryness- It did slightly dry my skin after a few months of use, the reason for this I think could have been down to the benzoyl peroxide (BP) used as one of the active ingredients. To combat this I started using a moisturizer and reduce the use two cleanser once a day and mask once every 2 weeks.
2. Burning sensation- The product did give me tingly burning sensation after the first few uses but this quickly subsided.
3. Redness- I did have some redness after the first few times using it as a mask, this could have been due to leaving it on for to long or the BP. After reducing the amount of time I was leaving the mask on for, 30 minutes down to 15 minutes the redness had stopped leaving my skin feeling smooth and thoroughly cleansed.

The price ranges between the 5.00 and 10.00 $ mark. This is an extremely low price for a product of this quality, and like already mentioned you are effectively getting a cleanser plus mask in one product. If you are on a tight budget in my opinion there is no better product on the market for it's price.

Cleanser- Massage over the effected areas and wash off with lukewarm water. Use twice daily morning and night.

Mask-Smooth an even layer over skin, leave the cream penetrate the skin for 5-15 minutes and then wash off. Use 1 weekly, reduce if skin dryness occurs.

Benzoyl Peroxide(3.5%)- This is the active ingredient found in neutrogena clear pore cleanser mask, it is an extremely popular and effective ingredient used in many acne treatments. it works by killing the bacteria that causes acne, this bacteria is called p.acnes bacteria.
